Pechine                Gite And Chambres d'Hôtes in the Ariege

     Pechine is a renovated farmhouse offering Gite and Chambre d'hote accommodation. Set in a large garden, situated in the rolling Ariege countryside, on a ridge with south facing views over the Leze valley to the Pyrenees Mountains . It provides rural tranquillity but is well situated for easy access to the rest of the Ariege and the Midi Pyrenees. Foix is a 20 minute drive and we are about an hour from Toulouse  & Carcassonne airports as well as the Ski resorts.  You will get a warm welcome from the owners, Mike and Jo, and the aged retriever Scrumpy, as well as a comfortable environment to relax in. 

Chambre d'Hôte            

 The Poppy Room A spacious and comfortable twin bedded room with south facing views of the garden and mountains.               

The  Cornflower Room A light and comfortable double bedded room with views to the north over peaceful rolling farmland.               

  There is a Breakfast room with log fire for chilly evenings and tea and coffee making facilities. Guests have shared use of a large bathroom, separate shower room and separate WC. All towels are provided and changed daily. A hairdryer and English adaptors are available on request . Free wireless broadband is available. We can provide a travel cot which can fit in either room and a high chair if required. We are sorry but we do not accept pets.

Gite

Our gite is a modern centrally heated apartment sleeping 4 people in a double and a twin bedroom. All bed linen and towels,as well as swimming towel, are provided. There is a full bathroom with over bath shower. The living area has a fully fitted modern kitchen with electric cooker, fridge/freezer as well as a dishwasher and washing machine . The pine dining-table seats 4 with ease and the sitting area has Satellite TV (English channels) and a DVD player with a selection of DVDs. Books and games can also be borrowed and a WiFi connection is available. We have a travel cot and high-chair which can be borrowed and there is a stair gate if required. Unfortunately we do not allow pets in the gite, not even ours!  Outside there is a private terrace, with south facing views, equipped with wooden table, with a parasol, and a gas BBQ. A large area of the garden is reserved for our gite guests use only; this has a decking area with sun loungers and gives lovely views to the mountains. There is access to our swimming pool and a shaded play area for children, with swings and a wooden "play" house. The gite has its own access and private off road parking. We are happy to provide a shopping service (20euros) so that you can arrive to fully stocked cupboards and if you stay for more than one week a cleaning service is available at an extra charge (20euros).
